Handguns are way down the list of weapons to choose for defense. The advantage of higher accuracy and superior firepower makes some type of shoulder weapon the obvious choice.

However, while driving, fending off an attacker, carrying something or being wounded, a handgun has a definite advantage because in most of these cases only one hand is available to manipulate the weapon.

We at BIA  Firearms Training dedicate most of our instruction towards one-handed shooting. This is only one aspect that separates us from traditional shooting schools.

Most firearms instruction is focused on precision shooting. The target, shooter, and weapon are stabilized before the shooting cycle even begins. This incorporates a very controlled press motion of the trigger while the sights remain aligned.

Those involved in real shootings are normally moving quickly, exposing themselves to fire for brief intervals and returning fire. It is no wonder that people trained in the traditional static manner have not faired well.

We train you to effectively defend you with a handgun - that critical difference could help safe your life or the lives of others!
